Welcome to the Legion!

One of the best things about Captain America: The First Avenger was Hayley Atwell’s Peggy Carter. She took no crap, she was smart as a whip and now she’s got her very own midseason ABC drama. Anyone else super excited for this one? Well, now we have yet another reason to watch.

Dollhouse

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dollhouse alum Enver Gjokaj has just joined the cast. Whedonverse member Gjokaj will play Agent Daniel Sousa and One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray (who wrote a pretty cool graphic novel called “Everlast”) will play Agent Jack Thompson. The two will meet Carter when she joins the pre-SHIELD Strategic Scientific Reserve in New York City.

One Tree Hill

The show, which is based on the one shot from Iron Man 3 comes to us from showrunners Tara Butters and Michele Fazekas and takes place a year after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger. We’ll follow Agent Peggy Carter as she moves up the career ladder as a secret agent. According to the site, “Peace has dealt Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR, Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life — Steve Rogers.”

The eight-episode Agent Carter will take place during the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. winter hiatus, airing Tuesdays at 9/8c. Will you be watching?
