Welcome to the Legion!

FrozenCan’t get enough Frozen? Of course you can’t! Well, now you’ll be able to experience the world of Arendelle and sisters Elsa and Anna first hand. Today Walt Disney World announced a new Frozen attraction at the Norway Pavilion at Epcot center in Disney World. It will replace Malestrom in the park.

“I’m pleased to say that we’re starting construction at Walt Disney World Resort on a brand new ‘Frozen’ attraction at the Norway Pavilion in Epcot,” wrote Tom Staggs on the Disney Parks Blog. “The new attraction, which replaces Maelstrom, will take our guests to Arendelle and immerse them in many of their favorite moments and music from the film.”

In addition, Elsa will join Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party starting on November 5. Each night, Queen Elsa will ice over Cinderella Castle. Anna, Elsa, Kristoff, and Olaf will join Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade as well.

Maelstrom will close on October 5, 2014. The Frozen attraction is set to open by early 2016. The Norway pavilion will remain open during construction. In addition we’ll get a meet-and-greet with Anna and Elsa in Norway. If the Princess meet-and-greet my niece had at Disney a few years ago is any indication, this is going to be hugely popular!
