Marvel has released some preview pages from the upcoming Thor comic, which features a woman taking up the hammer Mjolnir after Thor loses his ability to wield it. As you may recall, Marvel announced this on The View, which had folks wondering about pandering. I’ve said it before, but I’m of two minds about this. Sure, it seems a little, well, icky that this is where they thought the ladies hang out. On the other hand, I talked to a number of women at the Nashville Comic Con this weekend who said that they heard it there and they were intrigued. Hey, who cares where new female fans come from? As long as they’re reading!
These pics come to us from Vulture, so head over to the site for one more pic. The issue is written by Jason Aaron with art by Russell Dauterman. The final page (below) shows the moment when she — SHE — picks up Mjolnir, leading us to assume that the final page will be a full shot. Let us know what you think below.
