Welcome to the Legion!

IMG_2806.JPGIf you want to see what’s coming in Star Wars: Episode VII, make sure to tune into Star Wars Rebels. The team behind the animated series, which debuts October 3 with an hour-long premiere on Disney XD is working with the team from Episode VII, according to EW.

We might get a look at ships, locations and characters in the series that will appear in the film next year. “It’s a very integrated process, there’s real communication between all the filmmakers because we’re all part of a larger timeline,” says Rebels executive producer Simon Kinberg, who is also a creative consultant on Episode VII. “There is absolutely communication and integration between the different stories. We are very aware of what they’re doing in VII, and we also have to click into place with Episode IV.”

We’ll be recapping the show right here on Legion of Leia, so stay tuned. After the special on October 3, Star Wars Rebels will begin its official run on October 13. Star Wars: Episode VII will hit theaters on December 18, 2015.
