Welcome to the Legion!

LOL_Xmas_A_Flat_LR

Hey everyone! Jenna Busch here. I know everyone is super busy wrapping presents, eating 400 cupcakes (just me?) and hanging with family and friends, but I just wanted to take a moment to thank you for all your support since we launched on May the 4th.

Legion of Leia came out of the first casting announcement for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it’s grown from interviews with my favorite geek ladies to a real community It’s meant so much to me to be able to chat with all of you over on the site, Twitter, Facebook and to meet some of you at cons and events. We’ve been through a lot this year, between the feminist backlash, gamergate, the Star Wars and Avengers: Age of Ultron trailers, that Spider-Woman cover, crazy announcements from Marvel and DC … it’s overwhelming.

You guys have been wonderful, sharing your pictures, your thoughts and your time. I can’t begin to thank you enough for passing the site to friends, chatting with us and being a part of this amazing group of people. I’m so excited for you all to see where the site is going in 2015.

I really want to thank all the incredible people who are writing for the Legion, including Melissa Molina, Sabina Ibarra, Jeff Carter, Christina Janke, Shaun Rosado, Frida Gee, Witney Seibold, Mike Spring, Dorina Arellano, Anastasia Washington, Angelique Toschi, Andrea Levine, Dr. Janina Scarlet and Dani Ketch. You guys have no idea how much your work and support means to me.

Thank you all, have a glorious holiday and may the Force be with you.
