Welcome to the Legion!

We’re less than a year away until Star Wars: The Force Awakens arrives in theaters everywhere, but some of us really wish it would be coming out a bit sooner. The anticipation may already be a little much for some, but there’s still a whole other generation that isn’t too familiar with the wonderful sci-fi universe. Thanks to the masterminds at Disney, that won’t be the case much longer come next year.

Comicbook.com reports that Disney has teamed up with Maker Studios to create more Star Wars content leading up to the upcoming sequel’s release. There will be a number of shorts that will eventually crop up on YouTube and other outlets pertaining to Star Wars. It’s unknown at the moment as to how they’ll really connect the upcoming film, but it’s said to cover various parts of the universe from news to fashion. Maybe there will be wonderful hints sprinkled in throughout the series of shorts or interactive outlets. For all we know it could leave a trail of clues about the new movie out there for Star Wars fans to find.

When the Star Wars short films and other interactive entertainment pops up online, will you be anxious to watch it immediately? Or would you rather sit back, not expose yourself to possible spoilers and wait for the movie to come out on December 18, 2015?
