For the past couple weeks there’s been some rumors floating around stating that Jared Leto and a few others actors could be grabbing the main roles in Warner Bros’ Suicide Squad. Well, there’s on need to sit there and daydream about it anymore. This particular incarnation of the Suicide Squad cast has now become a reality.
Comic Book Resources reported that Warner Bros has locked in their main cast for their upcoming anti-hero movie. Jared Leto is set to play the Joker, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, Will Smith as Deadshot, Jai Courtney as Boomerang, Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg and Cara Delevigne as Enchantress. There’s also been some murmurs that Jesse Eisenberg may be part of the cast, reprising the role of Lex Luthor. Audiences are still a few months away from Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice, but at least now they know that this incarnation of Luthor will be returning to the big screen shortly after his debut.
Fury director David Ayer is set to take on the gargantuan project set to shoot in 2015. Similar to the fictional characters that make up the Suicide Squad, a couple of the casting decisions have a few DC fans scratching their heads. It’s easy to flood a mind with negative thoughts on how the casting is flawed or not like what somebody would have envisioned, but let’s try to stray away from that. Suicide Squad has the makings to be a hell of an action-packed, entertaining film and hopefully the end product will emulate that in 2016.
