Welcome to the Legion!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer hit theaters and the Internet on Thanksgiving weekend and fans went crazy. Some of us loved it. Some of us made fun of the lightsaber design. All of us were excited. So, what did the father of Star Wars George Lucas think? Did he even watch it?

He did, indeed! “I saw the trailer,” Lucas told Page Six. “I saw it in a theater because I don’t watch movies online.” (He’s previously stated that he’d watch it that way.) He reportedly smiled when he said, “Yeah, it was intriguing.”

Well, that’s something. Lucas’ new film Strange Magic opens January 23 and Star Wars: The Force Awakens will hit theaters on December 18.
