Welcome to the Legion!

As someone who routinely sits in front of my computer mining Thorium, flying on an enchanted fey dragon and smiting fel beasties, this is wonderful news. Today we learned that Dark Horse and Blizzard are teaming up for a new World of Warcraft book series called “World of Warcraft: Chronicle.”

The first issue will, according to Dark Horse, reveal how the universe came to be and some secrets about the history of Azeroth. Ultimately, the series will fill in all the blank spaces in the mythology, leading up to current day. “We often get questions from players who want to know more about the origins of the Warcraft universe, and the rise and fall of their favorite characters,” Paul Sams, Blizzard Entertainment’s chief operating officer, said in a release statement. “This new series digs deeply into all of that—we can’t wait for players to read it.”

The first volume, which will hit comic shops in November, will feature 20 full-page illustrations from World of Warcraft artist Peter Lee.
