A potential new drama series on the CW has DC Comic heroes uniting, a spinoff from hits Arrow and the Flash that will feature several fan-favorite recurring characters from both shows. The network is teaming up with Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim (all Arrow creators). The untitled project is eyed for next season toppled by Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/The Atom), Victor Garber (Flash’s Dr. Martin Stein), Wentworth Miller (Flash villain Leonard Snart/Captain Cold) and Caity Lotz (Former Black Canary).
This project is in the very early stages of development and there is always possibility for other Arrow/Flash characters to crossover to the new spin off. It is rumored that this project will include three major DC Comic characters who have never appeared in a TV series.
IGN’s Roth Cornet spoke with Brandon Routh last month about Ray Palmer getting a spin-off. Here’s what he said:
“With any character you bring on this show that’s a possibility, depending on how the fans react and the character is received and developed,” the actor reflected. “You know they’ve shown with The Flash that just being part of Arrow that it can work. It’s exciting. The sky’s the limit. DC and The CW have done a great job with the two shows and the platforms in terms of being their own entities. What the future holds, who knows? But anything is a possibility.”
There we have it folks. Anything is possible when it comes to The CW, The Flash and Arrow. Only time will tell what exactly this spin off will offer.
