David Ayer, Director of the upcoming Suicide Squad film has taken to Twitter today to answer a few questions about his upcoming DC Comics movie adaptation and also to post a behind the scenes picture of the set.
When asked on Twitter to describe Jared Leto’s Joker in just one word David Ayers (@DavyidAyerMovies) replied “Majestic”. Ayer also went on to tweet a photo from the films pre-production phase:It is unclear what exactly this set picture could be, many speculate that it is a prison of some sort. Either way, we’re happy to know that sets are being built and the film is on its way.
Also recently Viola Davis chatted with The Hollywood Reporter about what drew her to the character Amanda Waller in the Suicide Squad. “As a comic book and Wonder Woman fan, I love the whole DC Comics universe. I traded comic books as a kid so all of that appeals to me. When you dream about being an actor as a kid, that’s what you dream about.” said Davis. “That’s like play acting: being the superhero, getting the gun; it plays into that fantasy. I mean certainly Amanda Waller is a fabulous character.”
Suicide Squad beings filming this April in Toronto. It also stars Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn, and Jared Leto as the Joker.
