Alas, still no word on whether or not we’ll see Miles Morales joining the Avengers as Spider-Man in an upcoming Marvel/Disney movie. But! we can at least watch him jump out from the Ultimates Universe and join an all new Avengers team on May 2, 2015, aka Free Comic Book Day.

Marvel brought back its Free Comic Book Day cover which features the debut of the post-Secret Wars Avengers. The new team not only includes Miles Morales, but the cover also shows (non-Superior) Iron Man, Sam Wilson as Captain America, Kamala Khan as Ms Marvel, the Vision, Thor, and Nova.

“It’s an All-New, All-Different Avengers for an All-New, All-Different Marvel Universe!” said Tom Brevoort, Marvel’s senior vice president and executive editor told Wired UK. “So throw out your preconceptions about Earth’s Mightiest Heroes as we change the game, rewrite the rules and destroy childhoods with an Avengers team that more closely reflects the world outside your window!”

Earlier this week, Marvel Comics teased which characters would headline FCD issue saying that this is “your first taste of the all-new Marvel Universe as a blockbuster top secret Avengers creative team sets out on a new adventure that will have fans begging for more! Who will be Earth’s Mightiest Heroes when the dust settles from SECRET WARS? Find out here!”

Marvel later confirmed to CBR News that this blockbuster creative team are Mark Waid and Mahmud Asrar.
