Welcome to the Legion!

GIRL-MEETS-WORLD

Every 90s kid should have grown up with the family sitcom, Boy Meets World. I know I did. Did you know that it’s been 15 years since the series ended? Who were your favorite characters? If the answer was Mr. Feeny and Eric Matthews, then you’re absolutely correct. Yet, we’ve really yet to see either of them in Disney’s sequel series, Girl Meets World.

Sure, Feeny had literally three seconds of screen time at the end of the pilot, but that’s pretty much it (unless I missed the one other episode he was on).

So far the show has punched us in the nards, appropriately named Nostalgia and Feels respectively, with appearances by Corey’s mom and dad, Alan and Amy Matthews, Minkus, and most importantly Shawn (Rider Strong).

A few months ago, Ben Savage teased via his Instagram account that not only will Feeny make a more substantial appearance, but so will his older TV bro. Now we have specific dates and episodes!

ERMAHGERD! My childhood all grow’d up!

William Daniels (as George Feeny) will show up on May 11, 2015 in the season two premiere, “Girl Meets Gravity.” In this episode Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) meet a new teacher whose identity has yet to be revealed. PLEASE let it be Mr. Feeny!

After that, Daniels returns on May 14 for “Girl Meets Pluto” which will also feature Shawn! I can already hear future me squeeing with delight… followed by the sound of shattering windows. In this episode, Cory, Topanga, and Shawn take Riley and Maya to Philadelphia to dig up a time capsule they buried 15 years ago. Ah memories!

Then Eric (Will Friedle) will make his much-anticipated return on May 15 in the aptly titled, “Girl Meets Mr. Squirrels.” He gets to play mediator when Riley and Maya get into a huge fight. If you don’t remember the relevance of Mr. Squirrels, there’s a little video at the bottom to jog your memory.

If that’s not all, Trina McGee (Shawn’s ex-girlfriend Angela), Blake Clark (Shawn’s late father Chet Hunter), and Anthony Tyler Quinn (Mr. Turner!!!) are also said to be making their own appearances soon. The show kicks off its second season with a brand new episode each night for the entire first week, starting May 11, 2015.

If you were a fan of Boy Meets World growing up, then you’ll enjoy Girl Meets World. You’ll especially love it when the original cast members pop up to say hello.
