Welcome to the Legion!

Set aside those long boxes, Marvel fans, and get out your Kindles. Marvel Entertainment’s diving into the digital age by adding 12,000 single issues to Amazon’s Kindle Store.

This massive addition is part of Marvel’s larger strategy to bring in more readers who have become familiar with Marvel characters through mostly television and film. Among the 12,000 issues added to the online store, Marvel Executive Daniele Campbell says that the comic book giant also plans to release several newer titles featuring Marvel Studios characters.

“We are finding that whole new groups of fans are being exposed to Marvel’s characters through movies and TV series,” Campbell told The Wall Street Journal.

Kindle readers can also indulge themselves with even more Marvel comics by going to another Amazon-owned store, Comixology. As part of the deal, Marvel will now have a featured spot on Amazon.com’s and the Kindle app’s home pages.

Which Marvel Comics are you looking forward to reading in the digital format?
