Welcome to the Legion!

Our good friend Audrey Kearns over at Geek Girl Authority is back with her podcast Kneel Before Aud! This week she interviews Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels star Ashley Eckstein, owner of the amazing Her Universe!

In episode 24 of Kneel Before Aud, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Ashley Ecksteinduring the fun craziness of San Diego Comic Con 2015.

Ashley is an actress who voices the very popular Ahsoka Tano in Star Wars: The Clone Warsand Star Wars Rebels. She also became an entrepreneur and trailblazer for geeky women everywhere when she founded Her Universe, the forward thinking fashion company that provides merchandise for women of the sci-fi persuasion.

When Ashley sat down with me to record this episode of Kneel Before Aud, she was in the middle of a whirlwind SDCC trip promoting Her Universe which had an incredibly successful fashion show just two days prior. Right before the interview, we discovered that we both lived in Orlando, Florida at the same time and actually have a great number of friends in common – we’ve even performed on the same stages in Florida. We chat about that a bit, about her journey to Los Angeles, playingAhsoka Tano in the Star Wars: The Clone Wars / Star Wars Rebels and how important that role is for the Star Wars canon and of course, we chat about Her Universe.

Listening to Ashley talk of the perseverance it took in getting her fashion line starting, the joy it brings and the obstacles she still faces with keeping Her Universe the go-to place for women’s geeky fashion was incredibly inspirational.

She also spills the beans on a very exciting upcoming project! Enjoy!
