With the hype of San Diego Comic-Con upon us, everyone is cashing in their chips. This week, Entertainment Weekly revealed a new photo of Henry Cavil as the Man of Steel in Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. It’s nothing earth shattering but the photo doe gives us a nice look into the color palette of the Man of Tomorrow’s costume.
It seems that Warner Brothers is embracing the brighter color palette for this upcoming movie despite the trailers doom and gloom foreshadowing. Speaking of the upcoming film, Cavil also went on record with EW to confirm that this is not a direct sequel to Man of Steel. “It’s more of an introduction to Batman, an opening to Justice League, and an expansion of the world that was created in Man of Steel,” Cavil said.
When asked about a sequel he danced around a firm date but sounded confident that we’ll see another solo film featuring our boy in blue. “There’s plenty of time for individual Superman sequels,” says Cavil. “He’s a tough character to tell. People like the darker vigilante. I think it speaks to the human psyche more easily rather than the god-like being that we can’t really understand. Once we have a more expansive universe we can delve more into the character of Superman and hopefully tell more stories.”
Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice will hit theaters on March 25, 2016
