Who would you trust at the reins of a Star Wars movie? I would ask for a director proven to be able to handle intellectual property that was established and improve on it. I would want a director who knows how to add effects like master chef adds spices to his best dish. According to Heroic Hollywood we will be getting a director that fits the bill.

Word on the street is that Colin Trevorrow will be announced as director of Episode 9 later today at the Star Wars Comic Con panel. This will be the usual Hall H extravaganza with Lusasfilms bringing Colin Trevorrow out on stage for the announcement. He will be the third director in the series; JJ Abrams has directed Episode 7 and Rian Johnson was given Episode 8. This will round out the trilogy. If you are not familiar with Colin Trevorrow he was the director of Jurassic World, which has earned $1.4 billion this year and smashed many records.
