Welcome to the Legion!

Prepare for goosebumps and be on high alert for tears.

On August 15th, the Golden Gate Garrison of the 501st Legion Stormtrooper cosplay group took a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge in order to raise funds for the fight against cancer.

The fundraiser was held in support of Kevin Michael Doyle who walked 501 miles to Comic-Con while in his Stormtrooper costume.
These beautiful walks, both at Comic-Con and on the Golden Gate Bridge, were done to celebrate the memory of Doyle’s wife and fellow 501st legion member, who died of pancreatic cancer in 2012.

Tears? Told you. *Hug*

Check out the video below which shows over 50 Stormtroopers walking across the Golden Gate Bridge led by an imperial escort.

All funds from this event went to support Eileen’s Little Angels Foundation, Doyle’s non-profit organization which sends care packages to children fighting cancer.
