This morning Marvel Studios announced the latest in their movie shuffle with an Ant-Man sequel, officially titled Ant-man and the Wasp. Oh my-Hope-van-Dyne! It’s happening. For most wondering if we’d even get to see Evangeline Lily suit up anytime soon, this is big news!

Slated for July 6, 2018Ant-Man and the Wasp (love typing the Wasp), does cause a some calendar changes.  Black Panther is now moved to February 16, 2018 right before Infinity War: Part 1  on May 4, 2018. This also means that Captain Marvel is being moved to March 8, 2019, the film will lead up to Infinity War: Part 2.

While being touted as a Phase 3 update, it does look a little but too loaded. Perhaps we may be seeing Phase 4 re-positioning as THREE additional untitled films have also been added to the slate for after Inhumans tentatively on these dates: May 1, 2020, July 10, 2020,  and November 6,2020.

So we now have a board that looks like this:

May 6, 2016: Captain America: Civil War

November 4, 2016: Doctor Strange

May 5, 2017: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2

July 28, 2017: Untitled Spider-Man Film

November 3, 2017 Thor: Ragnarok

February 16, 2018 Black Panther

May 4, 2018: Avengers: Infinity War Part I

July 6, 2018: Ant-Man and the Wasp

March 8, 2019: Captain Marvel

May 3, 2019: Avengers: Infinity War Part II

Jul 12, 2019: Inhumans

May 1, 2020: WE DON’T KNOW

July 10, 2020: TELL US

November 6, 2020: KEVIN FEIGE!!!!!

Guardian’s of the Galaxy 3, sequels for Doctor Strange, and Spider-Man are being speculated on the interwebs. Personally, I’m hoping for a Captain Marvel sequel or a new property but we’ll see. Can you fathom that these are the next five years?  Are you excited for Ant-Man and the Wasp with inevitable return of the rag tag crew (more Michael Pena)?

Think we can handle it?
