Welcome to the Legion!

On this week’s 15th episode of the Legion of Leia Podcast, my co-hosts Anastasia Washingtonand Sabina Ibarra and I welcome returning guest Matthew Solomon, writer and director of the upcoming horror film Chatter and the amazing Alison Haislip, who is in the film, has appeared all over the entertainment sphere including G4, TabletopBattlebots and more. She’s also the co-host of the podcast Half Hour Happy Hour with Alison and Alex.

This week we take on the film, Internet ghosts, hauntings and how Matthew had a poltergeist in his house! We also take on the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens rumors, the success of Supergirl, some great comments about complex female superheroes by Olivia Wilde (and a very, very weird interview I had with her that involves animal sex – just listen). Alison gives us a great story about something that may have happened at Oscar Isaac‘s Star Wars audition and the cancelation of the anti-harassment panel at SWSX. Bad form, guys.

We also talk about something that really could do some good in the world. Please check out the story of Ashley Harrison Moore, who has cystic fibrosis and was waiting for a double lung transplant with a fifteen-month-son at home with two weeks to live. She got her donor as of yesterday, but what she’s doing to raise awareness about organ donation is really important. Please check this story out and tweet your pic with the hashtag #HopeForMoore. Register to be an organ donor and save a life like Ashley’s.
