Welcome to the Legion!

NBC shared an incredibly touching story about Daniel Fleetwood, a 32-year-old terminally ill man with cancerous tumors covering 90 percent of his lungs, who wants to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens before he is no longer with us.

Fleetwood is from Spring, Texas and, according to NBC, he “was diagnosed with spindle cell sarcoma, a rare connective tissue cancer, two years ago. The disease spread — and on Sept. 2, his oncologist gave him one to two months to live.”

Ashley Fleetwood, Daniel’s wife, further shared than on Monday, a scan showed that the tumors are now spreading to cover almost all of her husband’s lungs.

Today marks two months and one day since Fleetwood was given that one to two month prognosis. And, as a hardcore Star Wars fan, his final wish is to see the first installment of the new trilogy.

You can help support Daniel Fleetwood’s final wish by tweeting #ForceforDaniel. I’m going to do it right now!

And we are in good company. EOnline reported earlier today that Mark Hamill and John Boyega have retweeted the hastag (#ForceforDaniel) to show their support!

May the force be with you, Daniel Fleetwood! Sending many warm thoughts, prayers, and love your way! 🙂
