Welcome to the Legion!

The very first trailer for Marvel‘s Captain America: Civil War just debuted on Jimmy Kimmel Live! this evening. Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans appeared on the show (they were only announced last night as part of a big surprise related to the film) to debut it. It’s chock full of awesomeness, including the return of Bucky’s sanity! (Right at the beginning, so I’m not ruining anything!) Bucky! Oh, and Tony Stark wants to punch Cap in his “perfect teeth.”   Though we get a sense of what’s happening in terms of the government wanting to limit the powers of the superheroes/vigilantes, the trailer is more about the friendship between Cap and Bucky. Oh, and there are a couple of brief glimpses of Black Panther!

Here is the official info: “Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War finds Steve Rogers leading the newly formed team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. But after another incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability, headed by a governing body to oversee and direct the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers, resulting in two camps—one led by Steve Rogers and his desire for the Avengers to remain free to defend humanity without government interference, and the other following Tony Stark’s surprising decision to support government oversight and accountability.”

Captain America: Civil War will hit theaters on May 5, 2016.
