Welcome to the Legion!

greatest-american-hero

Well this is a blast from the past! According to Deadline, a remake of Steven J. Cannell’s 1981 cult classic The Greatest American Hero has a production commitment from Fox. Even better? This is coming to us from Rick Famuyiwa (Dope), Phil Lord and Chris Miller (The LEGO Movie) as well as Cannell’s daughter, television director Tawnia McKiernan (Grimm).

If you don’t remember the show, it’s the story of a normal guy who’s given a suit that gives him superpowers. I did watch this as a little kid and I loved it. I realize that I actually remember very little other than the song “Help Me Rhonda” that played every time Rhonda (Faye Grant) appeared on the screen. Still, from this group, it sounds promising.

Are you guys excited for the remake? Let us know in the comments.
