Welcome to the Legion!

The Wrap exclusively learned that Nicole Kidman is currently in negotiations to play an Amazonian warrior in DC’s Wonder Woman starring Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman and Chris Pine as Wonder Woman’s love interest, Steve Trevor.

Patty Jenkins is directing the Warner Bros. film.

According to The Wrap, we don’t know anything definitive about the character that Kidman will potentially be playing. However, they do say that she will play a “high-ranking Amazonian warrior” which lead them to believe (and I completely agree!) that Kidman could be taking on the role of Wonder Woman’s mother, Hyppolyta.

For those of you who don’t know, in the comics, Hyppolyta is the Queen of the Amazons and mother of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman.

I LOVE this casting! I think Kidman would make an elegant and strong Queen of the Amazons, which would be perfect.
Slap some dark hair on her and she will rock the role. What do you all think?!

Wonder Woman is set to be released into theaters on June 23, 2017.
