Welcome to the Legion!

Sweet news to ring us into the New Year: Syfy has announced that The Expanse, the network’s space detective drama, will return in 2017 with a 13-episode second season. The show follows a detective (Thomas Jane) and ice-freighter captain (Steven Strait) as they search for a missing young woman (Florence Faivre) in a future where humans have colonized the solar system and tensions run thick between Earth and Mars.

The series is based on Hugo-nominated novels by James S. A. Corey, (aka the combined force of authors  Daniel Abraham and Ty Franck after they’ve done a fusion-dance), and has received a decent amount of acclaim in its first season, which is currently airing on Syfy on Tuesdays at 10p ET/PT.
