Welcome to the Legion!

On this week’s 25th episode of the Legion of Leia podcast, Mairghread Scott, writer of comic books like Toil and Trouble and animated series like Transformers Prime and Marvel‘s Guardians of the Galaxy joins myself and my co-hosts Anastasia Washington and Sabina Ibarra. This week we talk all the trend in animation to have the male character have all the “feels,” while the female characters do things. We also take on the new trailer for DC‘s Suicide Squad (check out a breakdown here), the new footage from the Wonder Woman solo film and why WWI is a good place to set it, the Batman v Superman info from the CW special this week as well as the featurettes from the upcoming DC slate.

In addition, we talk all about Transformers 2 being taken off of Paramount’s slate, and the date changes for Star Wars: Episode VIII and Spider-Man. Then there is the new Hamilton special and the continuation of the #OscarSoWhite discussion, which really needs to be had.

Check out the podcast below and make sure to subscribe on iTunes! Check out Mairghread’s Tumblr page, her website and follow her on Twitter @MairghreadScott!

May the Force be with you!
