Star Wars

This week’s rumors and spoilers are all kinds of fun!

I found two cameo rumors about Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and a super intriguing rumor about Laura Dern’s character in Star Wars: Episode VIII!

Pretty exciting stuff!

SPOILERS AND RUMORS AHEAD! Stop reading now if you’d like to avoid them!

1.) Jabba the Hutt will play an important role in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Have you ever thought about what “young Jabba” would look like? Yeah, neither have I. Probably a lot like “old” Jabba. But looks like we may be finding out when Rogue One hits theaters.

As reported by Making Star Wars, Jabba could make a cameo in the film as someone who agents information to the rebels.

Hmm… The timeline works! So this rumor could be true. Especially if the rumors that Jabba is in the Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Anthology Film are true!

2.) Han Solo will make a cameo as a “BoShek” type character in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.

Also from Making Star Wars, this rumor states that young Han will have a cameo in the film as a guy who helps the rebels by referring them to people to hire.

This rumor could absolutely be true – We have wondered about this since Young Han was rushed to be cast for the Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Anthology Film! So, while his cameo isn’t surprising, the rumor about the role he will play is pretty fun!

3.) Laura Dern’s character in Star Wars: Episode VIII, according to CinemaBlend is “a high-ranking officer or politician in the rebellion with an antagonistic relationship with Oscar Isaac’s Poe Dameron.”

Juicy! I love it!

The rumor originally came from LatinoReview.

And, as further reported by CinemaBlend, Dern’s character is going to parallel Carrie Fisher’s General Leia. — While General Leia fights for the “Populists” who want individual rights as planets, Dern’s character fights for the “Centrists” who want a central government to control the galaxy.

If this rumor/spoiler is correct, it makes a lot of sense why Dern’s character would come into conflict with Poe — a loyal Populist.

I really hope this is true because, not only does it create another strong female character, but it also teaches us more about the Centrists and creates a potentially fascinating parallel to Leia! — I would really love to see all of this go down!

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is available on Blu-Ray and DVD on April 5th!

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story hits theaters on December 16, 2016!

Star Wars: Episode VIII hits theaters on December 15, 2017!

Untitled Han Solo Star Wars Anthology Film hits theaters on May 25, 2018!
