Carrie-Anne Moss made her debut in the Marvel television universe with the release of the first season of Netflix’s Jessica Jones, in which she had a supporting role as lawyer Jeri Hogarth. She soon moved into cross-over status by appearing in the same role at the end of season two of Daredevil, when her character extends an attractive job offer to Matt Murdock‘s best friend Foggy Nelson.
And word has just been released that she will continue to wind her way through Netflix and Marvel’s The Defenders roster with a role in the upcoming series Iron Fist. Jeph Loeb, head of Marvel Television, stated:
“Carrie-Anne has fast become a fan-favorite part of our street level saga, and we share our viewers’ excitement in bringing her into ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist’…As Marvel fans know, Hogarth in the comics plays a critical role in the life of Danny Rand so it seems only fitting that Carrie-Anne join in.”
According to Executive Producer and Showrunner Scott Buck:
“Danny Rand lives in the highest stratosphere of New York’s business society and he’s going to need a ruthless lawyer to help him navigate this alien world…I’m very happy to have the opportunity to bring Carrie-Ann Moss as Jeri Hogarth into ‘Marvel’s Iron Fist.’”
Marvel’s Iron Fist features actor Finn Jones as Danny Rand (aka Iron Fist), Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stroup as Joy Meachum, and Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum.
