Welcome to the Legion!

jubilee-xmen-1

To promote next week’s X-Men: Apocalypse, 20th Century Fox just released a new promo (seen below) for Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. The faux commercial features Jubilee (Lana Condor) as the friendly face of the prestigious school for mutants.

“Prospective students” can dial the number seen in the ad. You’ll immediately be greeted by the voice of Stan Lee, who can also be heard at the end of this commercial, asking for your name and address so the school can send you additional information about the school.

It’s great seeing Jubilee speaking more than two lines, even though this is just a promo connecting to the new movie. Every time she was cast in an X-Men flick (since 2000), she ended up on the cutting room floor, effectively making her a background character with only a couple lines (maybe). It’s super annoying. Here’s hoping she has a more prominent role this time around.

  • I really like X-Men. It is still unknown by whom and when this building was built. When Charles Xavier, with the financial support of the Hellfire Club, founded an institute for young mutants to teach them control over their abilities, give them knowledge about mutations and mutants, and also devoted their time to training and working on their own forces so that repulsing the Brotherhood of the Magnetic mutants, the X-Men, he chose this estate in Westchester. Several workers worked on the restoration of the building. Charles through telepathy worked on them, so that they did not see the students of the Institute and Xavier himself.
