Welcome to the Legion!

supergirl-112-1

Looks like Supergirl is getting a new boss at CatCo this fall.

In an Entertainment Weekly exclusive, Ian Gomez (Cougar Town) is playing Snapper Carr when Supergirl returns this fall on the CW. Carr is described as a headstrong, sharp-witted newsman who will set Kara to her paces as she takes on her new position at CatCo.

Snapper’s commitment to hard-hitting journalism pushes CatCo reporters to dig deeper in the pursuit of excellence. He’s a man who tells people what he thinks of them, and his no-holds barred approach pushes Kara (Melissa Benoist) in unexpected ways.

Since Kara is no longer Cat’s assistant — the CEO pushed our hero out from under her shadow and into the brave new world of becoming an intrepid journalist in her own right — it’s understandable that she’s going to have someone new bossing her around. But where does that leave Cat?

When the show moved from Los Angeles to Vancouver, some doubt was cast as to whether or not Calista Flockhart, who plays Cat Grant, would follow or not. And if she didn’t, where would Cat go?

CW head Mark Pedowitz has previously said, “There are ongoing discussions. We are thrilled that she wants to continue on the show, and we are thrilled to have her in whatever capacity.”

Since moving from CBS to the CWSupergirl announced a couple significant additions to the cast, including TV’s original Wonder Woman, Lynda Carter, as the show’s President of the United States, and Tyler Hoechlin as Clark Kent/Superman.

Supergirl returns for Season 2 on October 10, 2016 at 8 p.m. ET.
