If you aren’t following Mark Hamill on Twitter (and here’s a link to do so: @hamillhimself), you should be. Not only is his tweeting the stuff of legends, he also gives out fun information. This time around, he’s giving us info on the end of shooting for Star Wars: Episode VIII. He sent out the message on July 2, though most of us were deep in barbecue mode. (Or in my case, moving everything I owned.) He posted this info:
“It wraps on Friday July 22nd 2016 #LooseLipsSinkStarships #W8ForVIII #DontBeAHomer #PatienceMyPadawans #Rogue1Sooner,” he wrote in response to a fan tweet asking for info about the film. Now, that’s right smack dab in the middle of San Diego Comic-Con, so it’s unlikely we’ll get to see much there. Of course, there is no D23 Expo this year from Disney, so maybe we’ll still get some footage or a behind-the-scenes video like we got for The Force Awakens. You know, Disney, we also got that amazing impromptu Star Wars concert out by the water, so if you’re planning on doing that again and giving out more lightsabers, I’m totally okay with it.
Star Wars: Episode VIII will hit theaters on December 15, 2017.
