Welcome to the Legion!

Constantine

As the Arrow-verse adds more DC heroes and villains, one character, who has already appeared at least once in the world, is getting passed over — John Constantine (played by Matt Ryan).

Executive Producer Greg Berlanti revealed at the TCA press tour that there currently are no plans to give Constantine another go despite the hype leading up to his first appearance early on in Arrow, Season 4. But that doesn’t mean DC has completely given up on him:

We haven’t had any conversations with them about ConstantineConstantine exists in a certain place in the DC world and universe … they’re kind of internally examining what they want to do with that character next.

Let’s keep in mind, though, that Matt Ryan has already returned to the Constantine role since Arrow in the animated feature, Justice League Dark. There was a rumor that Ryan would return to Arrow as a series regular, along with Batman, but Berlanti shot that down.

The CW is teetering towards the point of juggling so many character than they know what to do with, but to not include Constantine — even though fans have continuously cried out for a proper return — is a mistake. Oh well, all we can do is hope and pray someone somewhere will give Matt Ryan/Constantine his day in the sun.
