Bryan Fuller is just the gift that keeps on giving! The executive producer extraordinaire tweeted another photo today from the set of Starz’ American Gods series, based on the Neil Gaiman novel of the same name. In addition to the glimpses he’s given us of American Gods’ cast such as Ian McShane and Gillian Anderson, Bryan tweeted an image of Kristin Chenoweth on set as Easter, a “free spirit who meets Shadow Moon (Ricky Whittle) in San Francisco.” Behold:
Chenoweth is no stranger to being in a Fuller production – she had a memorable turn in the short-lived but whimsical Pushing Daisies as Olive Snook, a lovelorn waitress at The Pie Hole, lusting after Lee Pace’s piemaker. The diminutive songstress is sure to stun in this new role, and I hope she’ll get a chance to sing a little as well. American Gods is shaping up to be a huge event, creating buzz left and right. Other stars that will appear on the series include Dane Cook, Orlando Jones, Bruce Langley, Yetide Badaki, Crispin Glover, Jonathan Tucker, Pablo Schreiber, and Cloris Leachman.
American Gods is set to premiere in 2017, along with Fuller’s other show, just a little project called Star Trek: Discovery.
