He’s back!!! And fangirls everywhere rejoiced!
After Tom Hiddleston’s Loki was cut from Avengers: Age of Ultron, fans everywhere did not know when we would get a glimpse of our favorite charming, sympathy-inducing villain again. Though, to be perfectly honest, I don’t think Tom Hiddleston’s presence could have saved the underwhelming Avengers movie that we got anyway. After the little teaser that we received in the credits during the last Thor movie, we knew that Loki would make an appearance again after his death was revealed to not truly being all that permanent.
Now, we’ve received a teasing confirmation from Tom Hiddleston on his Instagram that he will be reprising his role of Loki in the upcoming Thor: Ragnarok. You can check out the picture below.
We were given a teaser earlier this summer from Chris Hemsworth via an exclusive from Comicbook.com as to Loki’s return as well as the changing dynamic between the two brothers:
“I think tonally it’s a big shift in a great way, more than anything we’ve seen before. Taika Waititi, the director, if you know any of his work, he’s just an incredible sort of comedic talent. There’s a lot of heart in everything he does. It’s a very different Thor, it’s a different Loki; we go off on another world that we haven’t experienced before.”
As much as I would love to believe that Loki will be any different, we all know that he’s going to get into some sort of shenanigans in the next movie.
What are your thoughts about Tom Hiddleston returning as Loki? Like me, did you think that his return was inevitable? Let us know in the comments below.
