Game of Thrones may be be adding another famous actor to their list of guest appearances for the upcoming seventh season. Angela Lansbury may possibly be joining the cast of season 7 of Game of Thrones. Angela Lansbury is known for her roles in Disney’s Bedknobs and Broomsticks, Disney’s Beauty & the Beast, and for her role as Jessica Fletcher in the TV series Murder She Wrote.

According to the German news website Bild, Angela Lansbury is rumored to be making a couple of guest appearances during the next season of Game of Thrones. Because the site is in German, I made sure to translate it for you guys. Bild found out through their production circles that Angela Lansbury will be reporting to set for four days of filming.  No specifics were mentioned in the article about what role she would be portraying.

This follows a trend from Game of Throne casting directors not revealing any information regarding the truth behind their casting. Descriptions for casting notices for the seventh season have been, as one would expect, vague and rather non-nondescript. This is so they can’t get any information out regarding what will happen this season. If you add in some award worthy actors, the need for secrecy is absolute from the casting directors.

If this report is actually true, then Angela Lansbury will be joining Oscar winner Jim Broadbent, who has been confirmed as cast in an undisclosed part for the next season.

Season 7 will begin production late fall due to a need to shoot in harsher winter conditions. This delay in filming is the reason behind why we will not get a season premiere in April like we normally do. Instead the new season will premiere in the summer of 2017. The new season will only have 7 episodes instead of the usual 10. Until then, while we wait for the series to start filming, we just have to wait and see what news will be released next.

What do you think about this rumor? Who do you think Angela Lansbury would be cast as in Game of Thrones? Let us know below in the comments.
