Earlier today, FOX released the first batch of photos from the second episode of Gotham‘s third season titled, Burn the Witch. The pictures, among other things, give a first look of the new Poison Ivy, played by Maggie Geha (All My Children). FOX has also released this description of the episode:

Fish Mooney (guest star Jada Pinkett Smith) takes matters into her own hands to locate Hugo Strange (guest star BD Wong), forcing Gordon to reluctantly team up with journalist Valerie Vale (guest star Jamie Chung) to find her. Penguin rises in popularity after criticizing the work of the GCPD and Bruce’s investigation of the Court of Owls is compromised. Meanwhile, Ivy Pepper (Maggie Geha) is reintroduced into Gotham City.

In case you haven’t seen Gotham, the show follows Detective James Gordon‘s (played by Ben McKenzie) struggles in Gotham City before the emergence of Batman. Along with McKenzie, Gotham stars Donal Logue (Copper) as Harvey Bullock, David Mazouz (Touched) as a young Bruce Wayne, Sean Pertwee (Elementary) as Alfred Pennyworth, Robin Lord Taylor (The Walking Dead) as Oswald Cobblepot, and Cameron Bicondova as Selina Kyle.

Check out the pictures from Burn the Witch below.

  • Thanks. In the first two seasons, Ivy Pepper/proto-Poison Ivy was played by the young actress Clare Foley (now 14-years-old), but this season, she is being replaced by 28-year-old actress Maggie Geha. Why? Because the showrunners want to spice things up by aging up the character. How is that possible? Well, anything is possible on Gotham, but in this case, Ivy will rapidly transformer into an adult after an encounter with a monster from Indian Hill.
