American Gods has found its Jesus in Jeremy Davies (Lost). As reported by Entertainment Weekly, Davies will join others such as Ian McShane (Ray Donovan), Gillian Anderson (X-Files), Pablo Schreiber (Orange is the New Black), Emily Browning (Sucker Punch), Yetide Badaki (Sequestered), Bruce Langley (Deadly Waters), Crispin Glover (Back to the Future), Orlando Jones (Sleepy Hollow), Peter Stormare (The Big Lebowski), Cloris Leachman (Young Frankenstein), Jonathan Tucker (Kingdom), and Omid Abtahi (Damien).
Davies’s Jesus will be a part of the story of Kristin Chenoweth‘s (Pushing Daisies) Easter a.k.a. Ostera. The official character description for Jesus is as follows:
Resurrected on Ostara’s feast day, Jesus has always been generous in sharing the Easter holiday with the ancient goddess. But the overly empathetic Son of God would be crushed to know that Ostara harbors some deeply buried resentment over the issue.
