Welcome to the Legion!

A long time ago in the distant future of 1997, one family set out to the stars in order to find a new home for all of humanity. This family, the Robinsons, found their mission sabotaged and became… Lost In Space.

In case you didn’t know, that’s the setup for the original Lost In Space series, which predates even Star Trek. The series was reimagined as a blockbuster action film in the late 90’s (I remember thinking it was cool, but bare in mind I was not a cool kid). But now, in case you hadn’t heard, Netflix is all set to bring us a modern remake of the series. And we have our matriarch of the new Robinsons: Molly Parker.

Parker joins Toby Stephens (Black Sails), who will play her husband John Robinson, as well as Taylor Russell (Falling Skies) as the eldest Robinson daughter Judy. They each succeed Mimi Rogers, William Hurt, and Heather Graham respectively, who all succeeded June Lockhart,  Guy Williams, and Marta Kristen respectively.

No word yet on who will succeed Gary Oldman as Dr. Smith…
