Welcome to the Legion!

Season 7 of AMC‘s The Walking Dead is almost here, and I’m sure most of you are already chomping at the bit to see what will happen next. Be careful what you wish for. Tom Payne, who plays Jesus, suggests that the return of everyone’s favorite zombie drama will be difficult to watch.

The beginning of next season is going to be very tough and pretty graphic and horrible. But it sets up the whole season, it’s the beginning of the whole next story, it sets up Negan, this awful, awful person and the things that he is capable of doing. And that sets up the challenge for Season 7, and I recognize you probably could have done that at the end of Season 6 but I think it’s going to be a really great opener.

Well at least he admits certain things should have been done at the end of Season 6, like we’ve all been saying this whole time!

“Unfortunately I think a lot of people who are wishing for the death and wishing that they had seen it,” continued Payne, “I think after the first episode they might wish they hadn’t wished for it because it’s going to be very brutal and a huge downer.”

It sounds like the show is really going to embrace Negan’s sociopathic, megalomaniacal nature. You’re going to want this guy good and dead, but, like all dastardly good villains, he won’t meet that end any time soon.

The Walking Dead Season 7 premieres Sunday, October 23, 2016 at 9 p.m. ET on AMC.

  • I only recently was talked into watching the first episode by my Daughter as I avoid the Undead, Ghost, Vampire genre. I was blown away! I could not stop watching and had to get EVERY episode! They made 6 episodes year 1 and about 12 year 2, at 42 minutes an episode the entire year 1&2 run time is around 12 hours total and COULD RUN AS ONE 12 HOUR MOVIE, and you would still not wanna leave for popcorn. The end of each episode left me dying for the next one, The writing is incredible, the character development amazing and don’t suppose you know who will live or die here cause you will have no idea. The quality makes it seem as if all other series are quaint and boring. I find myself thinking about the next episode every day. VERY WATCHABLE; VERY ENTERTAINING; GREAT GREAT SERIES!!
