Filming for the Justice League movie has just wrapped and what better way to celebrate the film’s conclusion than to give DC fans some sizzle reel footage. Today Zack Snyder released on Twitter 90 seconds worth of behind-the-scenes footage from the Justice League film as a way to congratulate his cast and crew for all their hard work. If you’re looking for some footage that reveals any of the plot, then you will be disappointed. However, there are some interesting tidbits thsdcc 2016, at make for good footage in the sizzle reel.
In the 90 seconds we get, we get to see actors enduring grueling fitness regimens to transform themselves into superheroes. Considering how rigorous some of those fight sequences are, it’s good to see how the actors prepare for the filming as well as helps give fan fitness goals if they are looking for role models to help fuel their efforts. We also get to see people having way too much fun being thrown across rooms covered with that CGI green screen stuff. Oh, and my favorite part is seeing Jason Momoa dropping his Aquaman trident and steal Wonder Woman’s sword so he can still fight. Classic!
Based off of what we’ve seen at SDCC 2016 and what we’ve been able to see in this brief reel, Justice League looks to be less serious than Zack Snyder’s previous films. This makes me wonder if Snyder and Warner Bros. are finally listening to both critics and fans regarding the tone of the films being too serious. I do believe that, after all of the criticism from Suicide Squad, there may be possible new strategies being devised behind-the-scenes on how to approach the new films that have been scheduled.
The recent DC movies have been dismal, with many fans disliking Zack Snyder’s Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice and the recent Suicide Squad film. I’m not sure if behind-the-scenes footage is the best way to try to bring fans back into the fold of the Warner Bros. DC Cinematic Universe, but it can’t hurt. Either way, based off of the sizzle reel, I do think we will be getting a little bit more entertainment in the next DC installment.
The synopsis for the film is as follows:
Fueled by his restored faith in humanity and inspired by Superman’s selfless act, Bruce Wayne enlists the help of his newfound ally, Diana Prince, to face an even greater enemy (Steppenwolf). Together, Batman and Wonder Woman work quickly to find and recruit a team of metahumans to stand against this newly awakened threat.
But despite the formation of this unprecedented league of heroes — made up of Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Cyborg and The Flash — it may already be too late to save the planet from an assault of catastrophic proportions.
