Welcome to the Legion!

Despite wavering quite a bit in their cinematic ventures, DC has maintained a solid reputation on TV from the very beginning. Between the DC Animated Universe and their current lineup of live-action dramas they seem to have it covered.

Or so I thought… as in, I thought they’d approached TV from every angle. Well, I was wrong. DC has a new venture with its new sitcom Powerless, starring Vanessa Hudgens, Danny Pudi, Ron Funches, Christina Kirk, and Alan Tudyk. The series follows the employees of Wayne Security who develop protective technologies to use against superheroes and supervillains alike.

Here’s our first look courtesy of the shows Twitter.

Despite the unique premise I’m really not feeling this one, unfortunately. Everything about it seems less NBC and more Disney Channel. Though it is amusing that Danny Pudi is now technically in both the DCEU and the Marvel Universe. Oh, do you not remember?

Powerless premieres February 2.
