Netflix has released a new promo for their upcoming new series ‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’. In the promo, we have Lemony Snicket warning us to not watch the series because it presents a variety of different frightening and terrible things. This has become par for the course in the promotion of the series, but it works well due to the mixture of dark humor. Check out the promo below and let us know your thoughts.

The official synopsis for the series is below:
Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler) and starring Emmy and Tony Award winner Neil Patrick Harris, A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans — Violet, Klaus, and Sunny – whose evil guardian Count Olaf will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. The siblings must outsmart Olaf at every turn, foiling his many devious plans and disguises, in order to discover clues to their parents’ mysterious death.
The eight-episode series is a Netflix original production, executive produced by Emmy Award winner Barry Sonnenfeld and Daniel Handler. The series stars Neil Patrick Harris (Count Olaf), Malina Weissman (Violet Baudelaire), Louis Heines (Klaus Baudelaire), K. Todd Freeman (Mr. Arthur Poe), Patrick Warburton (Lemony Snicket), Aasif Mandvi (Uncle Monty), and Joan Cusack (Justice Strauss).
The series will be released on Netflix on January 13, 2017.
