Today Marvel has released a new image from the set of Thor: Ragnarok as well as the official synopsis. Comic book fans are going to recognize another story that we’ve all been hoping to see on the big screen. Well, I certainly have. Here’s what it says:

In Marvel Studios’ ‘Thor: Ragnarok’, Thor is imprisoned on the other side of the universe without his mighty hammer and finds himself in a race against time to get back to Asgard to stop Ragnarok—the destruction of his homeworld and the end of Asgardian civilization—at the hands of an all-powerful new threat, the ruthless Hela. But first he must survive a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against his former ally and fellow Avenger—the Incredible Hulk!

Anyone immediately think Planet Hulk here? It’s been long-rumored that some parts of that comic book plot might be a part of the film, and we haven’t seen our large green friend in a while. the film stars Chris HemsworthTom HiddlestonMark RuffaloIdris ElbaSir Anthony HopkinsJeff Goldblum and Cate Blanchet. We also know that we’re going to see Benedict Cumberbatch make an appearance as Doctor Strange.

So, what do you guys think? I loved the first Thor film, but definitely wasn’t jazzed about the second one. Let us know your thoughts in the comments or tweet us @LegionofLeia.
