Welcome to the Legion!

Lucasfilm confirmed today that actor Woody Harrelson (Cheers, The Hunger Games) joined the Han Solo movie that is set to arrive in theaters in 2018.

“We couldn’t be more excited to work with an artist with as much depth and range as Woody,” said directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller (21 Jump Street, The LEGO Movie). “His ability to find both humor and pathos, often in the same role, is truly unique. He is also very good at ping pong.”

Harrelson, whose role has not been identified, joins actors Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), and Emilia Clarke in the adventure. This will be the second Star Wars film in the anthology series that take place outside the Skywalker family saga (aka the main series). It is set during the early days of our iconic characters, prior to Han meeting Obi-Wan and Luke in A New Hope.
