Deadpool 2 Recruits Help from Drew Goddard

Before you brown your pants: No, writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are not being replaced.

Drew Goddard, writer of Cloverfield, Daredevil, and Cabin in the Woods, has just recently been recruited as a consultant on the Deadpool 2 writing team. His job, according to Collider, is to help hone the awesomeness that is sure to play out once production begins sometime this year.

It was recently reported that Deadpool 2 would start shooting sometime in early May. A listing on the industry website My Entertainment World has the superhero action comedy scheduled to begin production in Vancouver on May 1, 2017. We’ll know for sure when they release some ridiculous set photo or parodied movie poster. (I’m just guessing)

Deadpool 2 is set to be directed by David Leitch (John Wick), replacing the first film’s director, Tim Miller. There currently is no confirmed release date.
