Welcome to the Legion!

Today Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures debuted the official IMAX poster for their upcoming Kong: Skull Island movie. Like much of this movie’s marketing, it harks back and pays tribute to the Vietnam War and movies that touch upon that particular subject matter like Apocalypse Now.

The war imagery seems so much smaller in comparison to Kong, making me think that the soldiers who are investigating Skull Island are in for more than they bargained for.

The official synopsis for the film can be found below:

A trip back to the mysterious and dangerous home of the king of the apes, Kong: Skull Island will follow a team of explorers who venture deep inside the treacherous, primordial island to find the leader’s brother and a mythical serum, confronting extraordinary creatures along the way.

Tom Hiddleston will be starring in the film, joined by Samuel L. Jackson, Brie Larson, Jing Tian, Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, John Ortiz, Shea Whigham and Toby Kebbell. The film is directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts.

Kong: Skull Island will be released in theaters on March 10, 2017. Make sure to let us know your thoughts about the IMAX Poster above in the comments below.
