Welcome to the Legion!

On this week’s Legion of Leia Podcast episode 59, my co-hosts Anastasia WashingtonSabina Ibarra and I welcome Drew McWeeny, author of You’re Watching It Wrong: The Film Nerd 2.0 Guide To Star Wars. Drew has been writing about movies for twenty years, most notably at Ain’t It Cool and HitFix. This book, which is written around a collection of his Nerd 2.0 blogs about watching the Star Wars films with his two sons Toshi and Allen, gives us the best order to watch them in. It’s also full of stories about how watching this with his kids changed his feelings about and appreciation for the series. Guys, I read the book and if you have kids/nieces/nephews or grandchildren, you definitely want to give this a listen and download the book. Drew tells us about some of the impactful moments, why Phantom Menace deserves to be in the marathon and the kids’ reactions years later to The Force Awakens and Rogue One.

You can pick up a digital and soon a hard copy of You’re Watching It Wrong: The Film Nerd 2.0 Guide To Star Wars by clicking the link. You can check out Drew’s site at 80sAllOver.com and follow him on Twitter @DrewMcWeeny. Even cooler? Drew donated a dollar to the ACLU for a day for every book sold. It meant a lot to him and therefore, he’ll be donating a dollar to Planned Parenthood for every sale of the book going forward!

May the Force be with you!
