Fox’s Gotham may be experiencing a power vacuum since Riddler and Penguin’s battle came to a dramatic close. Don’t worry, there’s an even bigger baddie coming to town. Gotham just recently cast Game of Thrones alum Alexander Siddig to play one of Batman’s most cunning foes, Ra’s al Ghul.
Ra’s al Ghul will appear in the final eight episodes of this season. Ra’s will be the guy “pulling the strings” on just about everything that’s going on in Gotham City, especially when it comes to the Court of Owls and the city’s other nefarious villains.
As Bruce (David Mazouz) pulls the veil off the Court of Owls, he finds the man pulling the strings is the enigmatic and powerful Ra’s al Ghul. With his past shrouded in mystery, Ra’s Al Ghul uses cunning and deception to lay waste to his foes. As the leader of an international criminal organization known as the League of Shadows, Ra’s Al Ghul will prove himself to be Bruce’s most dangerous adversary yet.
Fun fact: Siddig will be the first Arab man to play Ra’s. They’re even going to use his Arabian origins.
Gotham returns to FOX Monday, April 24, 2017 at 8 p.m. for the final eight episodes of the third season.
