Welcome to the Legion!

Hi Star Wars fans! I have two incredibly awesome rumors this week!!!! (I’m very excited about them.) They both come from Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The first rumor is about Finn’s connection to the Force and the second is about Luke’s first line in the film.

Are you pumped?! Uhhhhh, of course you are. We are all equally obsessed with Star Wars here.

Alright! And we’re off!

1.) Finn is “The Last Jedi” and we will see that come to fruition in the film.

Love. This. Rumor.

This theory comes from Movie Pilot and it is very intriguing.

The rumor first discusses Finn’s connection to the Force is Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

While we were all distracted by Rey’s obvious connection to the Force, we may have missed how strong Finn’s connection was. What if Finn is actually The Last Jedi?! #mindblown

We all saw Finn rock the shit outta that lightsaber when he fought Kylo Ren. But there were other, arguably stronger signs as well, such as Finn having the mental strength to withstand the “brainwashing” of The First Order.

And, my favorite potential Force connection, as reported by Movie Pilot, was when Finn looked up toward the sky when the Hosnian System was destroyed in “The Force Awakens.” This was equated to Obi Wan’s famous line, “I felt a great disturbance in the Force. As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror and were suddenly silenced.”

If Finn has a similar connection to the Force, this will make for a very interesting twist on what most of us were expecting.

Also, to bring this all around to the original trilogy and the idea that Finn is Luke, Rey is Leia, and Poe is Han, this would make sense! Finn and Rey may have a unique connection to the Force in the same way that our favorite twins did. It all makes a lot of sense to me.

2.) Luke Skywalker’s first line in Star Wars: The Last Jedi is, “Who are you?”

As reported by Digital Spy, Los Angeles Times Reporter Daniel Miller tweeted this after getting a sneak peek at new footage of Star Wars: The Last Jedi:

While some people may not think this line is a huge deal, I would disagree. Not because I think this lines gives insight into the rumor that Rey is Luke’s daughter, but because it gives insight into where Luke is at, mentally.

If he had said, “Oh yeah, I knew you were coming,” that would change things quite a bit.

“Who are you?” makes me feel as if Luke is so isolated on his island, and so without hope, that he either DID feel her coming and didn’t believe it, OR he has so emotionally cut himself off from the Force because of what happened with his nephew, Kylo Ren, that he genuinely didn’t expect her.

Alone with his heartbreak on this island for so long, this line could also be the first words Luke has spoken in years.

It’s very emotional to think about Luke’s state of mind. He felt as though he had lost everything. And now he is going to learn that he lost even more than that. Yes, I’m talking about Han of course.

I am so excited to see Luke in Star Wars: The Last Jedi, I can barely stand it. I’m definitely ready for this emotional rollercoaster.
