Wonder Woman Delivers Amazonian Action in Latest Previews
“I am Diana of Themyscira, daughter of Hippolyta. Your wrath upon this world is over.” The latest previews for the upcoming Wonder Woman film released Friday, followed closely by a brand new trailer on Saturday. You can watch all of them in the videos posted below.
In the first preview below, we see Wonder Woman make her pledge against the powers that be that seek to throw the world into further chaos. It’s not all somber, however. In the last remaining seconds of the preview, we see Diana in era-appropriate clothing unsuccessfully trying to fit herself and her sword through a revolving door.
The other two previews are combined ahead of the actual trailer in next video. Diana is training hard with her Robin Wright‘s character, General Antiope, who looks to be a formidable opponent. Then we have a bit of humor as Steve Trevor (Chris Pine) introduces Diana to London. She is unimpressed, and possibly disgusted by its early 1900s industrial visage. There’s a stark difference in how both of Diana’s worlds are depicted — Themyscira is bright and colorful whereas as our world is darker. Not monotone like BvS was, but there is perpetually a dirty shade of dark blue. Let’s chalk it up to smog and the poison gasses used during WWI. Steve takes her response in stride and says, “Yeah, it’s not for everybody.”
Then we have the pièce de résistance. The third full trailer of Wonder Woman. We get to spend just wee bit more time on Paradise Island than we’ve had in the first two and, therefore, more Amazon warriors kicking butt.
Wonder Woman open in theaters everywhere on June 2, 2017.
